<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand for a keyboard instrument capable of holding the body of the instrument in almost a vertical posture, and thereby storing the keyboard instrument in a compact and space-saving manner. <P>SOLUTION: The stand 4 for a keyboard instrument that supports a piano body 3 on a level floor surface F comprises a leg part 11 which is connected to the bottom part of the piano body 3 so as to turn freely around a connecting shaft 13 extending in the anteroposterior direction, and on which the piano body 3 is placed and held in a horizontal position.
