<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically change the calculation sequence of effect impartation processing with a software sound source forming musical tones by executing prescribed musical tone formation software on an arithmetic processor. <P>SOLUTION: In the musical tone generator, a waveform buffer is prepared in correspondence to each effect processing. The processing to be performed in the arithmetic processor by each effect processing is an operation for subjecting a plurality of the wavelength samples of the corresponding waveform buffers to the prescribed effect processing and for writing the waveform samples after the processing to the corresponding waveform buffers. There is provided an add processing to subject one arbitrary waveform sample among the waveform buffers to prescribed level control and to again write the waveform sample in the same storage position in addition to the waveform sample stored in the another arbitrary waveform buffer. The effect processing and the add processing are so constituted that the processing sequence is assigned according to the desired effect algorithm, that the waveform buffers are added by the add processing, and that the waveform buffers to be added is assigned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
