PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-accuracy discrimination analysis to an image group classified on the basis of impression received from an image or similarity of the image, wherein perception effect of a person is more accurately reflected. SOLUTION: This method has: a first characteristic point for extracting a composition area corresponding to composition to which a classifier pays attention in classification to a similar image group, from the similar image group, and deriving an attention degree as an index of importance attached to the composition area in the classification from a degree of dispersion in each the similar image group of a characteristic amount vector extracted from the composition area; a second characteristic point for deriving an identification function identifying a class to which each belonging characteristic amount vector of the composition area belongs and a class to which each non-belonging characteristic amount vector of a first correspondence area corresponding to the composition area belongs, in each the composition area; and a third characteristic point for performing discrimination on the basis of the attention degree of the composition area corresponding to a target characteristic amount vector when the target characteristic amount vector of a target image is identified to a first class.
