PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic paper display device fixedly maintaining a charged state of charged particles by minimizing change of the charged state of the particles generated by friction (including collision and friction due to the collision) when the charged particles are driven and to provide a method of preparation of the same. SOLUTION: The method of preparation of an electronic paper display device includes stages of: forming cells and barrier ribs 130 for partitioning the cells on the top surface of the bottom electrode 121, forming an insulating layer 150 on the side surfaces of the barrier ribs and top surface of the bottom electrode; implanting the charged particles 140 into each of display cells; forming an insulating layer on a bottom surface of a top electrode 122; and attaching the top electrode 122 to the top surface of the barrier ribs.
