PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid continuation of the occurrence of anomalous values in slope angles by an arithmetic means, which is caused by the saturation of the output of a slope angle detection means, even after its return from the saturated state. SOLUTION: In this slope angle measuring apparatus, provided with the arithmetic means 48 for computing the slope angle of a moving body A, on the basis of both output of the slope angle detection means 45 for detecting the slope angle of the moving body A and the output of an angular velocity detection means 46 for detecting the angular velocity of the moving body A in the slope direction, it is determined whether the slope angle detection means 45 is in a saturation state, on the basis of a preset threshold value. In the case that the slope angle detection means 45 is not in a saturation state; the arithmetic means 48 performs arithmetic processing on the output of the angular velocity detection means 46 and updates computed values, based on the output of the angular velocity detection means 46. When the slope angle detection means 45 is in a saturated state, the arithmetic means 48 halts the arithmetic processings on the output of the angular velocity detection means 46 and fixes the computed values, based on the output of the angular velocity detecting means 46.
