PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can make an image quality of the printer highly fine by solving a color shift of characters, images and the like dependent on not only a parts precision of each part and an assembling precision of each part, but also a size of unit pixel dimensions. SOLUTION: The printer comprises a plurality of recording heads 1 where a plurality of recording elements 5 are arranged and formed, and a supporting member 2 which supports the recording heads 1. The plurality of recording heads 1 are arranged in parallel with arrangement directions of the respective recording elements 5 made parallel in the printer. The recording head 1 has a position adjustment mechanism 3 which moves the recording elements 5 in the arrangement direction while being restricted by the supporting member 2.
