PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device of a thermal printer which can supply an equal amount of cooling water to each recording unit. SOLUTION: Pipes 41a-41d for cooling of pairs of adjacent recording units 4a-4d arranged on mutually different horizontal planes are connected each other in series. Thus the pipes 41a-41d for cooling of all the recording units 4a-4d are formed in series as a whole.
