This invention provides a composition for metal surface coating, comprising an ionic liquid and an electrically conductive polymer dispersed solution, characterized in that at least a part of the ionic liquid is in the state of being compatibilized with the dispersed solution. There are also provided a process for producing an electrically conductive polymer in the composition, a method for metal surface coating with the electrically conductive polymer using the composition, and an electrolytic capacitor having high percentage capacitance achievement and high pressure resistance and a production process thereof using the composition.
