<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zeolite shaped article carrying a metal compound which has high performance capability in adsorbing an organic compound containing one or more sorts of elements chosen from oxygen, sulfur and nitrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The zeolite shaped article comprises a mixture of zeolite and an alumina binder, wherein the zeolite carries a compound detectable on an X-ray containing one or more sorts of elements chosen from the groups consisting of Group 1B, Group 2B, Group 3A, Group 3B, Group 5A, Group 6A, Group 6B, Group 7A, Group 7B and Group 8. The compound is an oxide or a sulphate. The compound is at least one sort chosen from the group consisting of CuO, Ag<SB>2</SB>O, ZnO, MnO, FeO, CoO, NiO, CuSO<SB>4</SB>, Ag<SB>2</SB>SO<SB>4</SB>, ZnSO<SB>4</SB>, MnSO<SB>4</SB>, FeSO<SB>4</SB>, CoSO<SB>4</SB>, and NiSO<SB>4</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
