<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of freely changing a configuration by combining a light emitting unit and a conductor into a module. <P>SOLUTION: In this light source device, the light emitting unit emits light by connecting a conductor made of a conductive material with the light emitting unit. The light emitting unit comprises a tubular body composed of a material having translucency at least one of end of which is an opening, an electrode comprising a pair of terminals provided at the open end of the tubular body, a luminous element and a power supply arranged in the tubular body, a conductive wire connecting the luminous element and the power supply between terminals of the both electrodes to form an open circuit and a magnet attached near the open end of the tubular body. When the conductor is connected with the open end of the tubular body, the conductor and two electrodes of the light emitting unit contact with each other and are connected for forming the closed circuit so that the luminous element emits light with power supplied by the power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
