PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the illumination structure of a meter for a vehicle which is easy to position, by making the sense of three-dimensional sense, while suppressing the height of the ceiling surface. SOLUTION: The illumination structure of the meter for the vehicle includes a decorative ring member 11 formed by integrating a decorative ring section 11b laid in the meter dial plate 12 surface side of a meter device 10 for the vehicle and formed integrally with the decorative ring section 11b adjacent to a graduation section 11a and emits an illumination light in part at least of the projected graduation section 11a or the decorative ring section 11b by transmitting the illumination light from the meter dial plate 12 rear-surface side. In the meter dial side facing bottom 11e of the decorating ring member 11, a projecting part 11f, where the lower limit side light-emitting surface 11g is made to projects to the rear surface side from the meter dial plate 12 surface position, is provided by inserting to the concave groove section 12c formed in the meter dial plate 12.
