An x-ray shielding apparatus is characterized in that the apparatus is provided with an x-ray shielding plate arranged between an x-ray source and a supporting member; a shielding plate driving mechanism which has a supporting section for supporting the x-ray shielding plate and shifts the shielding plate of the supporting section on a shielding plate shifting plane vertical to an x-ray irradiation path; and an x-ray shielding plate replacing means for replacing the x-ray shielding plate of the supporting member with an x-ray shielding plate having different sizes.
