PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based unblackened ink composition for ball point pen that gives soft and smooth writing feeling and enables highly smooth transfer of the ink in the writing under a high load and simultaneously realizes excellent resistance to wear and abrasion. SOLUTION: The oil-based unblackened ink composition for ball point pen at least includes coloring material, resin and solvent and further the ink composition includes carbon black dispersion as a wear inhibitor. The main solvent, more than 50% of the total is selected from alcohol, polyhydric alcohol and glycol ether and has a vapor pressure of more than 0.001 mmHg at 25°C and the viscosity of the ink composition is 100 to 3,000 mPas at the shear rate of 38.30 (1/sec).
