PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additional information transmission method of a digital audio interface capable of adding identification data to audio data at the time of transmitting the down converted digital audio data in a digital transmission line not allocated with a down conversion identifier and an information transmission apparatus and an information reception apparatus. SOLUTION: A clock generator 13 generates a clock which is frequency modulated by a modulation signal input MOD from the outside by a PLL. The PLL circuit is a closed loop circuit and therefore, if the slight sine wave subjected to the frequency modulation by the down conversion presence identification information outside the closed loop characteristic band from the outside is added thereto, the signal becomes disturbance and the clock subjected to the frequency modulation in the edge portion according to the sine wave is outputted. A biphase modulation circuit 15 outputs serial data comprising the serial audio data and auxiliary information after applying biphase modulation based on the clock outputted from the clock generator 13.
