PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend design freedom by expanding a range wherein a widening excavation angle can be adjusted, and independently adjusting a widening dimension. SOLUTION: A pile pit widening device 1 is used by being mounted on a body of rotation, so as to widen a pile pit for a cast-in-place concrete pile. The device 1 is equipped with an excavating bit 16 which is composed of upper and lower bits 17 and 20 bendably/stretchably connected together, and an actuator 35 which presses either of the upper and lower bits 17 and 20 of the excavating bit 16 so as to bend the upper and lower bits 17 and 20 at a predetermined angle. The actuator 35 and the upper or lower bit 17 or 20 are rotatably connected together, and the upper and lower bits 17 and 20 are rotated with the body of rotation in a bent state, so that an inner wall surface of the pile pit can be excavated while being widened at an angle corresponding to the angle of the bending of the upper and lower bits 17 and 20.
