The parking lock assembly (1), for a vehicle automatic gearbox, has a lock unit (3) to lock the moving lock section (4) in the driving position. A fixed lock unit (5) is bonded to the gear in a positive and/or force fit. In the park position, the two lock units are engaged with each other, and are separated when in the drive setting. A locking unit (6) with a lock (7) is moved in the locking direction (y) from the unlocked (U) into the locked (L) position and vice versa.
