There is provided a moving picture processing method capable of preventing deterioration of a subjective image quality by motion of a moving picture. The moving picture processing method includes: a motion compensation step (S116) for performing a motion compensation on an accumulation noise signal (FMN) used for overlap to a picture indicated by an input image signal (VIN) and stored in a noise frame memory (102), thereby moving the noise indicated by the accumulation noise signal (FMN) in accordance with the motion of the moving picture indicated by the input image signal (VIN); and an overlap step (S120) for overlapping the moved noise as an overlap noise signal SN on the picture-to-be-processed of the input image signal (VIN) which is a moving picture after the motion has been generated.
