The present invention relates to a new method for connecting or joining parts or elements made of non-weldable metal, in particular of memory metal which is used for optical frames and generally known as being difficult and insecure to weld, with adjoining parts made of steel or of another weldable material for providing a connection which allows and ensures a regular welding and a stable union of all the optical frame elements. One feature of the present invention is represented by a treatment of end parts (11, 12) of a memory metal shaft (10), such as a nose bridge or some other optical frame parts, with a superficial roughening work, for example by knurling. The ends (11) are consequently inserted in a hollow space (22) of a related chuck (21) of a weldable metal part (20), wherein a piece of a weldable metal alloy (30) has been previously inserted into the hollow space (22). The chuck (21) is suitably low heated in advance, enabeling the liquefaction of the welding metal alloy (30) and insertion of the roughened end (11) which, after cooling, firmly connects to said chuck and allows the non- -weldable element (10) to be joined to the remaining optical frame part (20).
|
