摘要 The invention relates to the identification of DNA in processed foods and compound feeds. More specifically, the invention relates to a method of identifying the origin of DNA present in the composition of food products to be analysed. Said method is used to detect and determine if the food composition contains protein of vegetable, protein of animal origin or fish. In addition, if the origin of the meat is to be ascertained, the method can be used to determine if it is from a mammal or a bird. The inventive method requires 9 primer oligonucleotides having a specific design and in suitable concentrations. Said oligonucleotides have been designed such as to flank specific DNA sequences of different sizes. In this way, following multiple PCR amplification, it is possible to determine the origin of the foods in the prepared or non-prepared product. The invention enables the correct labelling of processed foods for which the general composition is required, such as for the certification of determined compound feeds for aquaculture that must only contain fish tissue or compound feeds for cattle or other ruminants that must only contain vegetable material. The inventive method offers a greater guarantee both for the consumers of the products (direct consumers, aquaculture farmers or cattle breeders) as well the producers of said food products and compound feeds.
