<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amide compound by rearranging an oxime compound in a high efficiency without using a strong acid in performing a Beckmann rearrangement reaction of the oxime compound in the presence of a catalyst, and the catalyst for the Beckmann rearrangement reaction of the oxime compound in producing such the amide compound. <P>SOLUTION: This catalyst for the Beckmann rearrangement reaction is provided with that an aromatic ring-containing compound (1) contains at least one carbon atom having a leaving group as atoms constituting the aromatic ring and (2) at least 3 of any one or both of hetero atoms or carbon atoms having an electron-withdrawing group as the atoms constituting the aromatic ring, and (3) positions two atoms among the hetero atoms or the carbon atoms having the electron-withdrawing group at the orth or para position of the carbon atom having the leaving group. In the presence of such the aromatic ring-containing compound, by performing the Beckmann rearrangement reaction of the oxime compound in a nitrile-based solvent, the amide compound is obtained from the oxime compound in a high yield under a mild reaction condition without using the strong acid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
