<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device preventing degradation of electrifying of an electrifying means by efficiently removing residue such as toner and an additive, especially, the additive, adhering to the electrifying means, and also prolonging the life of the electrifying means. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: a photoreceptor 2 carrying an electrostatic latent image; the electrifying means 3 uniformly electrifying the photoreceptor 2; an exposure means 4 forming the electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor 2; a developing means 5 equipped with a developing roller 5b forming a toner image by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor 2 and at the same time, recovering the toner remaining on the photoreceptor 2; and a transfer means 6 transferring the toner image on the photoreceptor 2 formed by the developing means 5 on recording material 11. Also provided is an image forming apparatus 1 to perform cleaning operation for removing and recovering the residue adhering to the electrifying means 3 by using the developing means 5 and the photoreceptor 2 and by changing voltage applied to the electrifying means 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
