<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decrease in productivity for generating a vibration profile in an image forming apparatus having a rotary developing device, the apparatus which generates a vibration profile to control vibration generating on stopping rotation of the developing device and controls to suppress vibration based on the profile. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a means to judge a color mode of an image, and when the means judges a black-and-white mode or a monochromatic mode, acquiring a profile data for banding correction is omitted and banding correction operation is not performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
