<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory vehicle headlight capable of quickly and reliably changing to a plurality of light distribution patterns according to a travel state without requiring any complex control logics. <P>SOLUTION: The projector type vehicle headlight 10 comprises a light source bulb 23 arranged backward from a rear-side focus F, in a projection lens 21 arranged on a lens center axis Ax extended in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle; a reflector 25 that directs light from the light source bulb 23 frontward for reflecting closer to the lens center axis Ax; a bracket 31 for tiltably supporting the reflector 25 in a vertical direction; a reflector tilting mechanism 33 for tilting the reflector 25; a movable shade 27 that is supported while freely being tilted to the reflector 25 to shield one portion of reflection light from the reflector 25; and a shade linking mechanism 65 for tilting the movable shade 27 in linking with the tilting of the reflector 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
