<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a cooling amount of a cooling system as required. <P>SOLUTION: A computing device is provided with the cooling system 48 and a controller means 46 for receiving a software instruction issued from one of an operating system and an application program which are being executed by the computing device (44) and for receiving a hardware instruction from a hardware controller (52). The controller means 46 extracts input information related to the control of the cooling system 48 in response to the reception of the software instruction and the hardware instruction. The controller means 46 selects which of the software instruction and the hardware instruction should be used, generates a first control signal based on the selected instruction and the input information, and transmits the first control signal to the cooling system 48.
