PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for determining magnetic detection tag, capable of reliably verifying the lapsed state of magnetic detection tags, without having to depend on the entry parts of the magnetic detection tags. SOLUTION: The magnetic detection tag determining system comprises a cross coil 22 comprising a plurality of separate coils wound on a flat-plate frame, in such a way that the axial directions of winding are made different from one another by a prescribed angle; a magnetic field power supply part 24, comprising both a transmitter for generating AC power and a phase modulator for making different from one another the phase of the AC power generated by the transmitter by a prescribed angle and supplying separate power heving a different phase for each separate coil; a signal processing part 28, connected to each of the plurality of separate coils; and a determining part 30 for determining the output signals of the signal processing part 28.
