PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus for carrying out operation lock by determining that there is a possibility that the information processing apparatus is left behind depending on properties of processing operation when the information processing apparatus carries out the processing operation. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus carries out the operation lock (step S11d) when a prescribed time elapses in the closing state of upper and lower cases ("elapsed" in step S11b), or a prescribed time elapses for the operation wait state of a user ("elapsed" in step S11i) and if processing operated in the apparatus is started without the operation of the user and the processing is one awaiting the operation of the user and/or only when the processing is one with low priority ("only the processing is in operation" in step S11c).
