PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter module which is a small type and permits to attain a low insertion loss while the manufacturing cost is low, and also to provide a manufacturing method of such an optical transmitter module. SOLUTION: The optical transmitter module is characterized by comprising; a light emitting element; a 1st optical fiber which is a short GIF with a core part and a cladding part cut to a prescribed length, and is formed with a lens part on an end face side faced to the light emitting element, and is adjusted so that the exit light from the light emitting element made incident from the lens part is converged and made to exit from the other end side; a supporting body for fixing the 1st optical fiber; and a 2nd optical fiber which is an SMF on which the exit light from the 1st optical fiber is made incident.
