PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high brightness screen which does not produce a loss of light of specific color by bringing out the effect of interference to the maximum. SOLUTION: The projection type display medium is, for example, a screen for projection or the like and has a plurality of cells formed by dividing a substrate surface into a plurality of divisions. Each cell is provided with a plurality of reflective plates laminated leaving a prescribed spacing in the order from the substrate surface. Each of the plurality of reflective plates reflects projection light from a projector and gives rise to interferences of light with other reflective plates. The prescribed spacing of the plurality of reflective plates decides an optical path length difference in such a case. As the result, the prescribed spacing is decided by the wavelength of a color of light which should be emphasized and reflected, thereby reflecting an emphasized spectral component of reflected light of the color.
