PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound-generating mechanism ensuring loud and crisp sound to be emitted without affecting spool rotation even in the case of the large radii of rotation of the convex and concave parts. SOLUTION: The drag sound-generating mechanism 77 includes a covering member 9 attached so as not to be turnable onto a spool and a 1st disc 73a attached so as not to be turnable onto a spool shaft. In this mechanism 77, the covering member 9 has a plurality of convex and concave parts 82 formed on the inner circumference and disposed at intervals in the rotating direction of the spool, and the 1st disc 73a has a holding member 83 screwed on the rear face, a coil spring 85 one end of which is fixed to the holding member 83 and a pin member 84 whose basal end is fixed to the coil spring 85 and whose tip is disposed so as to be contactable with the convex and concave parts 82, wherein when the spool is rotated, the coil spring 85 is bent toward the rotating direction of the convex and concave parts 82 and the pin member 84 undergoes repeated contacts with the convex and concave parts 82, effecting sound generation.
