Installation network comprises bus participants coupled by electric bus cable harness, each with bus connections and data bus as first transport layer for data transmission. Second transport layer transmits security relevant data. First transport layer is formed by first frequency band, while second frequency band serves as second transport layer. Second transport layer is preferably used for testing first transport layer for suspected break points. Independent claims are included for method of determining vehicle position in installation having vehicle moving relative to stationary part with vehicle moved on line conductor especially on tracks/rails.
