Disclosed are a multilayer polyolefin film which has a such specified layer structure that, when used as a sealant layer to be provided on the innermost surface of a paper container for liquids, can prevent the deterioration in flavor, taste or smack of a content in the container; a material for a paper container for liquids comprising the film; and a paper container for liquids using the film. A multilayer polyolefin film for use in a paper container for liquids comprising at least a surface layer (layer a), an opposite surface layer (layer c) and a middle layer (layer b), the layers a, b and c having the following properties: layer a: a layer comprising a propylene homopolymer or a propylene copolymer; layer b: a layer comprising a propylene copolymer and an ethylene-a-olefin copolymer; and layer c: a layer comprising an ethylene-a-olefin copolymer and having a melting point ranging from 60 to 140°C and a thickness ranging from 1 to 20 µm; a material for use in a paper container for liquids comprising the film; and a paper container for liquids using the film.
