There are provided an image processing method, an image processing system, an image processing device, and a computer program for using an on-vehicle camera mounted on a vehicle for imaging a face of a driver and judging presence/absence of an imaging object in the image acquired. An average luminance of an image acquired when light of a particular wavelength is applied in the imaging direction is compared to an average luminance of an image acquired when no light is applied. When the difference between the average luminance values is equal to a reference value or below, it is judged that the imaging object is absent in the image obtained by imaging.
