ANTI-HERPESVIRUS COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FERMENTED TERMINALIA CATAPPA EXTRACT HAVING ANTI-HERPESVIRUS ACTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a safe anti-herpesvirus composition derived from natural plant and having low side action and to provide an anti-herpesvirus composition having antiviral action to herpes virus, an agent effective for the prevention and treatment of herpes virus infection disease and containing the anti-herpesvirus composition, and a method for producing a fermented Terminalia catappa extract having anti-herpesvirus action.

SOLUTION: Terminalia catappa is fermented and the extract of the obtained fermented Terminalia catappa is used as an active component of the anti-herpesvirus composition.
