PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise control response in cruise control with a simple method concerning a vehicle controller for controlling a vehicle by changeover between normal control or cruise control. SOLUTION: When the cruise control is performed in the vehicle controller, the second target driving force itself required for the cruise control, which is calculated by a second target driving force calculating part 4, is inputted to a controlled variable calculating part 2, so as to calculate controlled variable, based on the second target driving force. That is, the controlled variable is calculated not by using the driving force calculated based on a virtual accelerator opening degree but by performing calculation with the driving force required for the cruise control as a physical amount, so as to directly use the driving force for calculation. Consequently, the vehicle is correctly and rapidly approximated to a target control state. Besides, the driving force to be required itself is directly controlled, so that it is applicable regardless of the kinds of the vehicles. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
