<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head capable of improving productivity and reducing the fraction defective. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes a head body fixing process for mounting a fitting part 4 in a cavity 11 of a female mold 10 with the part 4 facing the front side, and a press-fitting process for press-fitting a face plate 2 in the fitting part 4 from the front side in the orthogonal direction to the face F. The cavity 11 includes a contact face 11a coming into contact with a finishing face 6 of the head body 3 formed into a substantially finished dimension and immovably retaining the head body 3, a clearance 13 formed toward the finishing face 6 of the head body 3, and a separation face 11b provided in the front side of the contact face 11a. The head body 3, in the outer circumferential face E of the head body surrounding a fitting part 4, is provided with the finishing face 6 and a deformation preventing projection part 7 projecting in the face direction orthogonally crossing with the press-fitting direction of the finishing face 6 and preventing the deformation of the head body 3 in the face direction by making contact with the separation face 11b in the press-fitting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
