PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decode reproduced image data on reproducing information data recorded in a layered hologram memory medium. SOLUTION: This information data generating apparatus includes at least: an image data input section 18 to input basic image data or synthesized image data as image data to be reproduced; an information data conversion section 19 to convert the basic image data or reproduced image data into information data; an information data inverse conversion section 20 to inversely convert information data into reproduced image data; a coefficient (α) calculation section 21 to calculate a coefficientαto reduce the difference between the synthesized image data and the basic image data than the difference between the reproduced image data and the basic image data; a synthesized image data generation section 24 to generate a synthesized image obtained from the reproduced image data, the basic image data and the coefficientα; and an information data output section 26 to output information data to be recorded in a diffraction grating layer for recorded data.
