PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle image information output device capable of outputting appropriate image information regardless of a running environment of a vehicle, and to provide a method of controlling the on-vehicle image information output device. SOLUTION: AThe on-vehicle image information output device (10) includes: an imaging part (12); adjustment parts (14 and 16) for adjusting a condition for obtaining image information; and a control part (18) for controlling the adjustment parts on the basis of running environment information of the vehicle.
