PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair for spontaneously holding a good posture with a straight back, even if a seated person crosses his/her legs. SOLUTION: The chair is disposed with auxiliary cushion bodies 14 on both sides across a vertical axis 9 of a seat 4 so as to surround the center part of the seat 4. The auxiliary cushion body 14 has a cross-section having a lower inside and a higher outside. The auxiliary cushion bodies 14 form front and back side support portions 11 and 12, and a part surrounded by the right and left side support portions 11 and 12 serve as a center support portion 10 having a substantially flat shape. The floating buttocks of the seated person 16 with his/her legs 17 and 18 crossed is supported by the back side support portions 12, and unsteadiness of the legs 17 and 18 is prevented by the front side support portions 11.
