PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable displaying endoscopic image formed by conforming the vertical and horizontal directions of the endoscopic image with the vertical and horizontal operating directions of a worker for preventing the worker from feeling incongruity in working. SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus is provided with an image processing part 11 processing the endoscopic image captured by a CCD 2, a curving control part 12 controlling the curving direction and the curvature of a distal end 3 based on a command of a curving command part, a rotation angle computing part 13 calculating an angle of rotating the endoscopic display image relative to a monitor 7 based on information from an acceleration sensor 10, an endoscopic image rotating part 15 rotating the endoscopic display image relative to the monitor based on the result calculated by the rotation angle computing part 13, and a curving command direction computing part 16 conforming the direction of the image displayed on the monitor with the command direction of the curving command part8 by being rotated by the endoscopic image rotating part 15 based on the result calculated by the rotation angle computing part 13.
