PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mailbox with a simple structure capable of being manufactured at low cost and capable of preventing theft of mail matters from a slot. SOLUTION: The mailbox has a box body 8 with a discharging port 5 in its rear face, a slot 3 provided in the front face of the box body 8, a charging lid 2 turnably pivoted inside an upper frame 4 forming the slot 3, and an opening degree-regulating means 1 regulating an inward opening degree freely in angle at the lower part of the inside of the slit 2. Preferably, the above opening degree regulating means 1 is a screw for regulating the opening degree. Further preferably, a plurality of screws for the opening degree are used.
