PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which can be equipped with a decomposing section to decompose an odor and an ultraviolet radiation section in a main body of the cleaner without disposing an additional board and an additional lead wire or the like. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner 20 is equipped with a dust collecting section 22 to collect the dust, an electromotive blower 23 to apply a suction negative pressure to the dust collecting section 22 and a circuit chamber 57 in the main body of the cleaner 21, wherein a circuit board 58 equipped with a control circuit to control the electromotive blower 23 is disposed in the circuit chamber 57. The decomposing section 59 to decompose the odor by a photocatalyst is disposed in the circuit chamber 57 and a light-emitting diode 60 to emit ultraviolet rays to the decomposing section 59 is disposed on the circuit board 58.
