The method involves storing momentary condition data of a programmable circuit including their configuration as new configuration data in a memory (M) after charging an operating system and/or an application, such that the new data are usable for configuring of the circuit. The circuit is directly located in the condition with the charged system and/or application by the new data after subsequent new configuring of the circuit. An independent claim is also included for a circuit arrangement for implementing a method of configuring a programmable circuit e.g. field programmable gate array (FPGA).
