<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phototherapy apparatus which can suppress detection failure of output abnormality in a light source and is equipped with a safety system which is highly reliable compared with a conventional apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a semiconductor laser 3a used as the light source, a driving circuit 1 for supplying a driving current to the semiconductor laser 3a, and a computer control device 7 for executing output control in the light source and detection of the output abnormality. In the phototherapy apparatus restricting the supply of the driving current when the output abnormality is detected, an output abnormality detecting circuit 21 which detects the output abnormality independently of the computer control device 7, and restricts the supply of the driving current is included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
