RECEIVER FOR MULTIPLEX BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver for multiplex broadcast capable of storing and updating program identification (PI) codes and a list of alternative frequencies (AF). SOLUTION: The receiver for multiplex broadcast has: a sound output system 10 for receiving broadcasting radiowaves including program broadcast and data multiplexed to the program broadcast; a data extraction system 20 for extracting an AF list of each broadcasting radiowaves which broadcast the same program by different transmission systems and a PI code indicating that programs are the same program; a RAM 32 which stores the PI code and the AF list extracted by the data extraction system 20; and a control part 36 which causes power supply to the sound output system 10 to start when it is detected that there is no power supply to the sound output system 10, stores and updates an AF list corresponding to the PI code for each PI code by using the PI code and the AF list extracted by the data extraction system 20.
