PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact/collision sound deadening sheet that prevents an opposite party from feeling uncomfortable for a contact or collision sound generated by a handset to be replaced on the handset receptacle of the telephone set at phone call release (disconnection) without waiting for phone call release (disconnection) by the opposite party and reduces the loss time. SOLUTION: This contact/collision sound deadening sheet is pasted on a telephone handset receptacle location that the handset contacts at handset replacement onto the telephone set, so that the call can be silently placed in the standby mode by pressing the call disconnection hook switch on the handset as if the call were released (disconnected).
