PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket for electromagnetic wave shield which has high cleanliness and low surface resistance, and that is inexpensive and moreover, has high strength. SOLUTION: The gasket 10 for electromagnetic wave shield has a structure where the surface of a core material 2 having elasticity is coated with a conductive film 4, obtained by forming a metallic film layer on the surface of a film made of a composite resin. The conductive film 4 is formed, in such a way that the metallic layer consisting of a copper or a nickel is deposited or plated, for example, on the surface of a polyester film or a polypropylene film.
