PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial molded article capable of being produced by a simple method and at a low cost, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This antibacterial molded article is characterized by containing a terpene compound. For example, cases of producing polystyrene articles by using d-limonene, such as a foamed material, film and box body for electric appliances, etc., containing 1-50,000 ppm d-limonene are cited. As for the method of production, e.g. in the case of using the d-limonene and polystyrene as the raw materials of the molding materials, a process of mixing the d-limonene with the polystyrene, distilling the mixture to distil off the d-limonene and then mold-processing the residual mixture, etc., is provided.
