PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a strong impact desired in recent years to a player by providing a display device and a game machine capable of performing effective display by obtaining sufficient illuminance at respective parts inside a game area. SOLUTION: The display device comprises a light guide plate provided over the inside and outside of the game area on the game board of the game machine and a light source for emitting emission light to be made to enter the light guide plate from a side face, and displays display information by reflecting the emission light which has entered by dots formed on the light guide plate. The display device is provided with level difference in a longitudinal direction on the light entering side face of the light guide plate and the plurality of light sources are disposed corresponding to the light entering side face of the respective levels.
