PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically excellent decomposition method by which organic chlorine compounds and polycyclic aromatic compounds can efficiently be decomposed without giving loads to human bodies and environments, and to provide a microorganism preparation. SOLUTION: This decomposition method for decomposing at least one of the organic chlorine compounds and the polycyclic aromatic compounds is characterized by bringing a microorganism having an ability for decomposing at least one of the organic chlorine compounds and the polycyclic aromatic compounds into contact with a plant to reinforce the biological activity of the microorganism.
