The method involves detecting pressure by a Wheatstone bridge (1) and pre-processing output signals (P1, P2) associated to the detected pressure in a measuring amplifier (4). The signals are transmitted to a central processing unit (6) for processing/evaluation. An automatic error compensation of the signals independent of one another is implemented in measuring amplifier. The error compensation is initiated by the processing unit. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product defining an algorithm, which includes a method of compensating error of a measuring amplifier.
